I grew up in Northwest Illinois where my father and uncle started me going to the blind when I was still in diapers. While my grandfather was a member of two duck clubs in the famed Illinois River Bottoms, I also grew up cutting my teeth hunting geese in Illinois' agricultural fields and ponds. Many afternoons were spent pheasant and quail hunting with friends as well, but it was the unmistakable sound of wind rushing through the wings of waterfowl that became the foundation of who I am today.

I attended college in Kirksville, MO at Truman State University, the area is rich with outdoor opportunities and I loved it. After a stint in the San Diego Padres farm system I returned home to Missouri to put my Degree in Business Marketing to work.

My love for the north central Missouri area, made it tough to leave... so I never did! Currently, I still live in Kirksville, MO with my dog, Ruff. I am a commercial insurance agent in the off season, as well as a Flyway Manager for Avery Outdoors and a Zink Calls Z-Unit member.

I am fortunate in that I have been able to follow my passions of chasing ducks, geese, and turkeys all across the country every year for over 200 days. For some, waterfowl season is only the days the season is open. For me, it is a love that lasts year round. The habitat management in the off season is just as big a part of it as the hunting is. It is a labor of love and there is nothing more rewarding than seeing thousands of migrating waterfowl coming to the dinner table you worked so hard to set for them in the hot summer months!
